Garage Conversion

Stratton Mountain Resort, Vermont

This was a detached garage that the homeowner wanted turned into real usable living space. We took it from bare concrete and exposed framing to a fully finished room, insulated, drywalled, floored, and trimmed out properly. The challenge with garage conversions in Vermont is thermal performance. We don't cut corners on insulation here because the winters demand it. The finished space ended up being used year-round. That's the goal with any conversion like this.
