Larger Builds With Many Moving Parts
On a bigger project, from a whole-home renovation to new construction, having someone experienced coordinating trades and catching problems early is worth more than any single trade skill.

Serving Chittenden County, Vermont
Sometimes a project needs an experienced set of eyes as much as it needs a crew. I'm Tim Chila. After 50 years building in Vermont, I bring that same hands-on judgment to overseeing projects, whether that means managing your build directly or watching over the trades already on site.
What We Do
General contracting and project management are two ways to bring us onto a project, and which one fits depends on what you already have in place. As your general contractor, our own crew carries out the work and we're accountable for the build directly. As your project manager or owner's representative, we bring that same standard to overseeing quality, schedule, and communication, often on projects where you already have a contractor or several trades lined up, or where the scope has grown large enough that having an experienced set of eyes coordinating everything matters as much as any single trade skill.
That is exactly what fifty years in this trade is worth. We know what a rushed job looks like before it becomes a problem. We know which questions a contractor should be answering clearly at every stage. We know how to read a schedule that is quietly falling behind. This role puts fifty years of hands-on experience to work on your behalf, whether we're the ones building or the ones watching over the build.
Whether you are managing a larger residential build, coordinating multiple contractors on a renovation, or want someone experienced representing your interests on site, this is a service built around judgment, earned through decades of doing the work ourselves.

Who We Work With
01
On a bigger project, from a whole-home renovation to new construction, having someone experienced coordinating trades and catching problems early is worth more than any single trade skill.
02
If you have already hired a contractor and want a second, experienced set of eyes checking quality and keeping communication honest, we can serve as your owner's representative, watching over the build on your behalf.
03
We review progress against the schedule, ask the questions many homeowners wouldn't think to ask, and flag issues while they're still small enough to fix easily.
04
Ongoing improvements and capital projects across managed properties call for consistent oversight and a contractor who understands accountability across a whole portfolio, alongside single-property work. We work with property managers on recurring and larger scope work across Chittenden County.
05
If you need a reliable owner's representative or construction manager to oversee execution of your design on site, we bring fifty years of build experience and a woodworking background suited to detail-sensitive projects, including a recent commercial cherry door and cabinet project.
06
Banks, law offices, medical and financial practices, and other commercial spaces need construction oversight that understands both build quality and professional timelines. We offer construction management for commercial fit-out and improvement projects.
How It Works
We discuss the scope of your project, who else is involved, and exactly what oversight role makes sense.
We agree in writing what construction management covers on your project, whether that's quality review, schedule tracking, trade coordination, or full owner's representation.
We review work on site, track progress against schedule, and communicate directly with you and any other parties involved.
You get honest, regular updates on where the project actually stands, plain information you can act on.
